The weather was a bit extreme yesterday and unfortunately we have a mishap. However Peter Pan has survived a very close call with only a bend in his bronze flute. Looking a bit puffy in the cheeks. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️Haven’t checked his underpants. 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Does anyone know where I can get another concrete pillar in the South Island, preferably Southland. ... The wind was horrendous. Lucky Peter Pan survived - just.
Oh dear. That's not good. Luckily Peter is ok.
Awe! Hope you find something!
Hate this wind storm we are having screaming westerly for 2 days so over it sorry for your damage
Was one of thee most extreme weather events lambing in 20 yrs. With 48hrs constant heavy rain n horrendous wind, farmers are thick skinned for a reason.
All the best with the clean up and lucky for Peter thats all he has bent, and all the best with all your garden 🌸
Bad luck Sharon ,and not a convenient time for it ,hope the livestock went OK
Oh dear the wind has played havoc everywhere!
Oh dear, it's been blowing gale force in Waikato all night and still going.
🤔what a mess.Break your heart.Hope you can get help.
Heavens, lucky for Peter. All the best for the never ending chainsawing & clean up
Demolition world in Invercargill, might have something or would know where to look.
Oh no 😢
Bugger. Hope you find a new piller
❤️Your descriptions Sharon good luck in finding replacements
Thanks has to go out too all those PowerNet workers yesterday. The weather was absolutely disgusting right across Southland. Well done in atrocious conditions. ... See MoreSee Less
I love Felix Jury it took about 10years for it to flower for me.
The colour of that Magnolia would gladden your heart after a rough day of clearing up.
Lovely
Unfortunately it’s not always pretty flowers in the garden. Recent winds have played havoc with our Lawsoniana shelter and blown more tops out. A number of the Rhodos have taken a hit as with some azaleas. It’s life but when you are planning an opening and doing a lambing beat as well it’s the pedal to the metal. 😊😊time to keep smiling. ... Yes cleanups take time. It certainly was a widespread nasty piece of weather with many power outages.
We were overdue for stormy weather and it turned up. The power generator used once again to milk the cows.
We feel for you, its heartbreaking when the
wind damages your garden!! It has certainly been a winter of unpredictable gusty winds here in Tarankai too. 😳
Oh damn Sharon jolly winds so sorry for you a lot extra work at this busy time of the year on the farm thinking of you
That's a shame Sharon, great work your doing
I know the feeling, but we Farmers & Gardeners just seem to have the intestinal fortitude to pick up the pieces & work through it? Thinking of you.
Oh darn right😮
Oh darn.....and that's probably putting it mildly
Sorry to hear that Sharon. Always seems to happen when you've got too much to do already. Hopefully Rhodos will recover in time, some of the big leafs are iffy but a lot of the others will bounce back as I'm sure you know.

Wow, great fun idea 😮😊
You will have to put an age limit on that Sharon
My boys would've loved that, there is one about that size at the lake for the older kids (and the more adventurous ones lol)😆
I want to see Sharon come down it
Is that Leo doing the OSH trial
Omg that looks so cool!
Kids are going to live that
